Durkan Limited: 

Pre-Construction Manager Nov 2017 - July 2023

  

  • Delivered the role of Pre-Construction Manager for the execution of high quality, mixed tenure / social housing developments in London and the South East. 
  • Contract values between £20 million and £125 million, including refurbishment. 
  • Provided central point of contract between Durkan and Peabody for PCSA services and contract award for the delivery of Southmere phases 1A and 1B in Thamesmead. Total contract awards for this development are in excess of £160 million.


Taylor Wimpey Central London: 

Project Manager July 2014 - Nov 2017


  • Provided project management for the delivery of high quality, zone 1 residential schemes at Paddington Exchange, Paddington and FiftySevenEast, Dalston. 
  • Provided central point of contact between Taylor Wimpey board and contractor led execution of the works on site.
  • Delivered all pre-construction operations prior to contract award, including site appraisals, developing risk registers, project programmes, occupation strategies, specification solutions, planning, rail operator liaison and building warranty matters.
  • Providing monthly reports to board of directors detailing progress on site, contractual matters, risk management and regulatory approvals.
  • Led negotiations with High Speed 1 to gain approval for piled foundation solutions over operational tunnel assets at FiftySevenEast. 
  • Successfully discharged all rail monitoring and protection requirements for neighbouring active station at Dalston Kingsland.


Willmott Dixon Housing: 

Senior Design Manager Jan 2000 - July 2014

  

  • Led a team of design managers and technical managers managing the pre-construction and design process of social housing contracts up to a value of £75 million within London and the South East.  
  • Oversaw or chaired all design team meetings and design workshops.
  • Maintained consultant throughputs to discharge planning conditions, obtain statutory approvals and provide supply chain packages for procurement. 
  • Provided technical support to construction operations during execution of works on site.
  • Experienced in the delivery of masonry, timber frame, light weight steel frame and reinforced concrete frame solutions.
